    DELTRAN BW 1 : Boiler Feed Water  Treatment Non -  Phosphorous
Description :
DELTRAN BW 1 is a unique formulation based on low molecular weight organic polymers

Application :

DELTRAN BW 1 is used to treat boiler feed water. It prevents formation in boiler tubes & also serves as a sludge condition to keep boiler sludge in soft free flowing state for easy removal in blowdown.

    Properties :
    The use DELTRAN BW 1 for boiler water treatments effectively controls scale formation in boiler tubes. It stabilizes the hardness and modifies the nature of calcium and magnesium deposits that they remain dispersed and fluffy. These deposits are easily removed during blowdown. Continous use of DELTRAN BW 1 create clean metal surface facing the water. This makes optimum energy utilization and ensures operating safety of the boiler.

    Method Of Use :
    The product after mixing with water can be directly added into boiler drum or in the boiler feed water. For larger installations continous addition is preferable. Periodic addition depends upon facilities available for chemical treatment can also be made.

    Dosage :
    The dosage will depend upon the quality of boiler feed water & condensate recycle. However upto 50 ppm hardness in boiler fed water, dosing at the rate of 10.50 ppm is recommended(10 M1/1000 litres of water). In case where soft water is used , an addition of 2 -5 ppm will ensure scale free coiler tubes for longer periods. 

        DELTRAN BW P2 : Boiler Feed Water  Treatment Phosphate Base.
    Application :
    Deltran BW P2 used to treat boiler feed water. It prevents scale formation in boiler tubes and serves as a sludge conditioner. It creates the protective alkalinity and necessary phosphate in the boiler water. A separate phosphate addition is not required with the use of Deltran BW P2.

    Description Of Product :
    Deltran BW P2 is an alkaline easily soluble special phosphate mixture containing organic polymer as dispersant.

    Properties :
    The treatment of boiler water with Deltran BW P2 effectively controls scale formation in boiler tubes by maintaining residual phosphate in boiler water. The presence of sludge conditioner in the product also helps in the easy removal of deposits by blowdown operation

    Method Of Use :
    The product after mixing with water can be directly added into the boiler drum or in the boiler feed water. Periodic additions depending upon the facilities available for chemical treatment can, also be made.

    Dosage :
    The dosage will depend upon the quality of boiler feed water. However, upto 50 ppm hardness in boiler feed water the dosing at the rate 100 – 200 ppm is recommended (50 -75 ml/1000 litres of water). In case where softened water is used, a dosage of 25 – 50 ppm will ensure scale free boiler tubes for long periods. In case of 100 % condensate such as in sugar mills boiler, a 5 – 10 ppm is adequate.

    Product :
    An easy use to single liquid formulation, which ensures complete protection against corrosion, scale formation, sludge conditioning to boiler and steam equipment ; it is a product of latest technology adopting polymers with phosphate and amines as basic raw materials.

        DELTRAN BW 5 : Treatment for Boiler Blowdown pH Maintenance
    Product :
    DELTRAN BW – 5 is a blend of chemicals used to supplement the normal treatment in boilers for adjustment of pH and alkalinity in boiler blowdown water. This product can be used in conjunction with other products used for preventing scale formation, corrosion, etc.

    Product Description :
    DELTRAN BW – 5 is an alkaline white powder, readiliy soluble in water.

    Method of Use :
    The product after dissolving in water can be directly added in the boiler drum or in the feed water tank.

    Dosage :
    The dosage will depend upon the quality (particularly pH) of blowdown water. The dosage at the rate of 10 -20 ppm is recommended when pH of boiler blowdown water is below 9.0.

    Principle Uses :
    In sugar industries, sometimes the boiler feed water is contaminated with sugar. The introduction of sugar into the boiler produces an acidic condition due to decomposition of sugar into organic acids, resulting in a rapid fall of pH of boiler blowdown water. Under these conditions, the treatment of Deltran BW – 5 is recommended for adjustment of pH and alkalinity in the boiler water.

    Storage :
    The product should be protected against humidity and exposure to atmosphere.

    DELTRAN BW AB6 : For Corrosion  Preventor boiler for Low pH.

    Application :

    Gaseous impurities such as Carbon Dioxide ( CO2) in feed water can make the condensate corrosive due to low pH. Hence in addition to the use of scavengers to reduce corrosion in boilers, other substances are employed to provide and condensate return line. Deltran BW AB6 is a volatile, additive based on neutralising Amines and is used to supplement normal water treatment in boilers. For adjustment of pH in stream & condensate return lines. This product can be used in conjunction with other products used for preventing scale formation, corrosion, etc.

    Solubility Compatibility miscible with water.

    Properties :
    Deltran BW AB6 merely combines with CO2 in the condensate & reduces the corrosiveness. Deltran BW AB6 offers no protection from corrosion related to dissolved oxygen in the system.

    Method Of Use :
    The product after diluting in water can be added to feed water at a point closely following the deaerator or immediately following the feed water tank.

    Dosage :
    The amount required is directly related to the amount of CO2 in the system ( 2.25 parts of DELTRAN BW AB6 required to react 1ppm CO2 ). The dosage at the rate of 10 -50 ppm is recommended when pH of condensate is below 7.0. Since the product is carried back with returned condensateafter initial dosing, only samll quantites need to be added to the feed water to take care of make up water.

  • Use safety goggles and rubber gloves to avoid direct contact.
  • Wash the exposed skin, eyes or mouth thoroughly with plenty of clean water when affected by contact with the product.

  •   DELTRAN BW OXL 7 : Oxygen Scavenger Catalyst

    Application :
    DELTRAN BW OXL 7 is used for the treatment of water for the chemical removal of oxygen to prevent corrosion. The product is non – volatile and is applicable for the treatment of water.

    Description :
    DELTRAN BW OXL 7 is an oxygen blinder (with catalyst) and a free flowing powder.

    Properties :
    Use of DELTRAN BW OXL 7 in feed water effectively removes dissolved oxygen from water. As it is the major source of corrosion in tubes it should be controlled to less than 0.05 ppm. Addition of OXL 7 in the requisite dosage will ensure very low levels of dissolved oxygen and will prevent corrosion.

    Method of Use :
    The product is dissolved in water to make a 5% solution this solution is then added to the feed water as per the following dosage.

    Dosage :
    The chemical addition ahould be about 10 -15 gms/m3 of feed water assuming that the feed water contains about 2 -3 ppm of dissolved oxygen. A certain excess of the product is maintained to ensure complete removal of oxygen.

    Storage :
    The product should be protected against humidity and exposure to atmosphere.


    Advantages :
  • Protection against corrosion in steam boiler plants through oxygen binding.
  • Since the product is non-volatile, it can also be employed where steam comes in direct contact with food.
  • Can be used for plant conservation ( wet conservation) during shut down period of plants.
  • Since this is with catalyst, the oxygen binding is very faster compared to an ordinary product.
  • Existing rust and sludge encrustation, which hinder heat flow are lifted off and decomposed into a finely dispersed sludge.
